Rifles by Brian LaMaster
While Brian has built a large number of rifles throughout the years, here are recent highlights and favorites!
Simpson inspired
Brian's Personal Hunting Rifle
Built in 2004 to memorialize his father, the rifle is nicknamed "Pap" in his honor. Many deer, elk and bear have been taken with this rifle.
John Sheets inspired
John Sheets Inspired Custom Build
Built in 2026, the customer requested a rifle patterened off of the work of John Sheets. Brian used an original lock from the era to preserve authenticity. This rifle provided a deer to it's new owner a week after it's completion.
christians springs early rifle
Andreas Albrecht Inspired Build
If you have watched the "Gunbuilder Lessons" on the LaMaster Arms Youtube Channel, this is the rifle that Brian built during the series. A superb piece of craftsmanship that represents the works of early gunsmiths building Kentucky Rifles in Christian's Spring, PA in the 1770s.

“The rifle Brian LaMaster crafted for me is nothing short of a work of art. The fine details, quality materials, how he uniquely customized it to me and my family, and the precision and beauty of each element are beyond anything I could have hoped. Brian’s polite, easygoing demeanor made him a pleasure to work with, and after our initial consultation, he checked in as it progressed. Whenever he sought my input on specific details, I’d answer, ‘I’d never tell Michelangelo what paint or brush to use on the Sistine Chapel ceiling.’ I’ve been blessed to hold, own, and shoot a fair number of firearms over the years, and this is a rare and special gun. It became an instant family heirloom my sons are all vying for, and they’re already planning a shoot-off for who eventually gets it.” —G.C.
